Post tattoo instructions
Following these steps will help your tattoo heal perfectly. If you have any questions or notice signs of infection (like redness, warmth, or excessive swelling), don’t hesitate to reach out!
-
If your tattoo is wrapped with Saniderm, follow these steps:
Leave it on for 3–5 days.
Keep the Saniderm on as long as it remains clean, intact, and comfortable.
Remove if it breaks, peels up, leaks, or causes irritation.
After Removing Saniderm
Wash the tattoo gently with fragrance-free antibacterial soap.
Let the tattoo air dry or gently pat it dry with a clean paper towel.
Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free, tattoo-safe lotion 2–3 times daily for at least two weeks.
-
If your tattoo is wrapped with saran wrap, follow these instructions:
First Night (Day of Tattoo)
Remove the saran wrap after 1-4 hours.
Wash the tattoo gently with fragrance-free antibacterial soap.
Pat dry with a clean paper towel, do not rub.
Wrapping at Night (Optional)
Re-wrap with saran wrap overnight for the first 2-3 nights to protect your sheets from ink and plasma. Make sure it’s loose enough to allow some airflow.
Each morning, remove the wrap, wash the tattoo, and let it air dry.
Daily Aftercare (After Initial Wrapping Period)
Moisturize 2-3 times daily with a fragrance-free, tattoo-safe lotion for two weeks.
-
Avoid direct sun exposure on the tattoo for at least 3-4 weeks.
Do not submerge the tattoo in water (pools, oceans, bathtubs) for 3-4 weeks.
Avoid picking or scratching as the tattoo peels to prevent scarring and color loss.
Wear loose clothing to prevent rubbing on the tattooed area.
Use sunscreen after your tattoo is fully healed to prevent fading.
Do not over moisturize, it can cause potential breakouts on the tattoo.
